We Are Funded

Honestly, there wasn’t a doubt in my mind.

The friends and family who have been a constant blessing in my life came through big time, helping me to surpass the fundraising goal we set in less than two weeks. The amazing piece was the generosity of those I haven’t seen a a long time. It’s a reminder to me of the staying power of relationships.

I really did not like this process. I don’t know if it’s a guy thing or just the way that I’m wired. It was hard to ask for $$$. In general I feel that I don’t like promoting myself as well. That goes back to my high school days when my mom had to enter art contests for me because I couldn’t be bothered. I owe that 3rd place county finish to her.

I get to take a break for a while before I have to promote again… which I know I will have to. One of the things that keeps be going is that I really like this story. I love this world and the realm that rushed into my mind in January 2022. It has deepened my own faith and made worship much richer in ways as I have unique “pictures” of God in my head and new stories of faith and challenge. Of course, nothing can or should be added to God’s word, but it’s been really fun to create characters like him… and characters like you!

One of the other fun pieces of writing this was incorporating friends and family into the characters. It’s made writing dialogue much easier because I just picture you saying it! There are deeper things in this area that will share at another time. but the whole process has been very cool.

Now I need to get a cover designed.
